A chorale from BWV 147, said to have been written in 1723 when Bach was 38 years old. This wind band arrangement stays true to the original, with no embellishments. To suit wind band performance, the piece is set a whole step lower in F (originally G). It is ideal not only as background music for ceremonies but also as a featured piece in concert hall performances.
