Commissioned for Maebashi Minami High School Band's 40th anniversary in 2019. It's my alma mater which I wrote about in my debut piece, Harvest Waves, selected for one of five test pieces for the 1998 All Japan Band Competition.

The commission request was to write a piece about starting points in life. Harvest Waves represented the richness of Fall. As I was composing it was Springtime and I was seeing breezy green fields in front of me. My musical journey began with the admiration for Debussy's ""La Mer."" The harmonic progression is based upon those images.
