The "Saxophone Duo Concert Vol. 1" took place on March 16, 2021, at KM Art Hall, featuring Katsutoshi Yoshioka on saxophone and Yuko Hironaka on piano for its premiere performance.
This piece is a set of variations based on the B-A-C-H motif. It consists of approximately five sections, including the theme. The composition is characterized by a contemporary sound with a subtle sense of tonality and an underlying tension throughout. In the final variation, it is hoped that a sense of uplift and rhythmical expression will be conveyed.
