Arranged upon commission by Trio Plus, a saxophone trio that is active mainly in the Tokai region, this arrangement showcases "Akatonbo" (Red Dragonfly), a Japanese children's song that holds a special place in many hearts. The song, with its particularly beautiful melody, evokes a sense of nostalgia and longing for a pristine landscape. Composed by Kosaku Yamada with lyrics by Rofu Miki, this beautiful world has been arranged for a saxophone trio. Care has been taken to ensure that with each repetition of the melody of "Akatonbo," listeners can enjoy the harmonic changes that suggest the sky's transition into dusk.
