A picture book without a picture captures the city of Pompeii when Mount Vesuvius erupted, causing many deaths.
At first, a girl wanders the city singing, then comes lamentations to those affected by the volcanic eruption, with hopes for the future. The latter part is a reflection on the past city. Written for the ensemble team of the Hikari Wind Orchestra in Chiba Prefecture.
It is a bit different from the original clarinet ensemble. It uses a lot of percussion, so pay further attention to the balance.
