With Saint-Saens's intellectual sense and humor, this suite is one of the masterpieces of classical music history. Saint-Saens made this piece "easy" for a private evening party, including parodies and satire of various works, so he banned its official performances until his death.

However, the format and composition of the work and the excellent orchestration are great despite such circumstances. This time, I chose different (or "not like brass") pieces for a brass ensemble arrangement. Five songs, "Introduction and Royal March of the Lion", "Hens and Roosters", "Kangaroos", "The Cuckoo in the Depths of the Woods", and "Fossils". Commissioned by Katsushika Sogo High School in Tokyo.
