This piece was commissioned by the Kobe Municipal Honjo Junior High School Band and premiered at the All Japan Ensemble Contest Kobe regionals in 2011. The original instrumentation is mixed octet (Fl., Cl., A. Sax., Trp., Hrn., Trb., Tuba, Perc).
I adapted it to the ranges that can be played within this flexible version, but it can be a challenge to balance compared to the original. Being a simple melody, please create your own expression in performance.
