Commissioned by Hobereaux Clarinet Ensemble for their 40th anniversary.

Premiered by Hobereaux Clarinet Ensemble on April 16th, 2015 at their 26th Regular Concert at Shibuya Cultural Center Odawa, commemorating their 40th anniversary.

The unique characteristics of the clarinet family are its wide tone range, virtuosic mobility and distinctive timbre. In order to really feature these characteristics, I have written in a sober yet somewhat tasteful manner. The music is neither too flashy nor fierce. However, it is filled with beautiful, lush colors and deep emotional expression.
