Pierre Phalese (c. 1510-1570) was a music editor and publisher active in Leuven, Belgium in 16th century Flanders. During his lifetime he published many masses, religious music such as motets and manifikato, and secular pieces such as dance collections and French chansons. This version was originally arranged for brass octet for performance at the 2018 Ensemble Contest of Hanasaki Tokuharu High School (Tomoko Kawaguchi, director) and Toin Gakuen High School. The six songs above were selected and arranged from the Phal?se dance collection.
