The original Debussy was composed for piano and was published in 1891 in "The First Collection of Pieces for the Piano". The original title was "Tarentelle Styrienne", but it was revised to "Danse" when reprinted.
The work is arranged for orchestra and is widely popular. This arrangement was written for brass octet based on the piano score and was published in 2000. It is given a light 6/8 time signature, but also includes a rhythm that makes one feel a 3/4 pulse, and it has very interesting styles, such as contrasting themes.
