Program notes:
Composed in 2021, commissioned by Inagakuen Sogo High School. The finely tuned 16th note phrases express the beauty, splendor, and fragility of a falling flower.

Performance notes:
I wrote one phrase in two parts, one ascending and one descending. If the ascending part crescendos too much, the descending part will not be heard. Be careful to find the right balance. In the fast part of the second half, the 5/8 meter alternates 2+3 and 3+2. The rhythm is not consistent, so play with an accurate sense of time and feel.
