Acropolis was commissioned by "TUBIUM" in March 2008, and premiered at "Tubium Concert Vol. 7" in April of the same year.
The title Acropolis refers to the "small hills, forts" of ancient Greece, and refers to the place where the temple is built on hills solidified by walls. The Acropolis of Athens, where the Parthenon was built, is particularly famous, with fortified walls that keep enemies away and protect a noble and sacred space.
The song is of three parts, "fast-slow-fast", and the feel of 12/8, which is full of dynamism, is contrasted with the feel of the middle waltz style. The work is ideal as a concert opener or a competition piece.
