Commissioned by TOSHIBA FUCHU Euphonium Tuba Ensemble of Tokyo, and premiered at the 34th Ensemble Contest of Tokyo Ippan Band Association’s 50th Anniversary (2010). This is a smaller work of less than 5 minutes divided into three parts, fast-slow-fast. The title "Innovation" was an image I had of the company, and I later found out that TOSHIBA’s motto was exactly "Innovation".

In the beginning, notes tend to be short due to forte, but do not use staccato, especially from the second measure. Play the quarter notes with careful tenuto. Treat the whole legato carefully in the moderato. Also, pay attention to balance of the four parts so that the melody is not hidden.
