White Flame is a piece born from an imaginary concept - a "white flame" that does not exist in reality. Typically, flames evoke colors such as red or blue, but by deliberately expressing it as "white," the music creates an impression that drifts along the border between fantasy and reality. It is shaped by lively rhythms and melodies that convey a sense of wavering motion. Through sound, it draws out the flickering white flame, ever on the verge of vanishing yet never quite extinguished, embodying both fragility and quiet strength - a fleeting illusion. The wings of imagination spread on sound which gently releases the contours of reality and a fantastical landscape that unfolds beyond that flame.
This piece is part of a series themed around "white," following White Twilight, which was released in 2022.

Performance Notes:
Aim for well-rounded performance with clear sound and dynamics throughout the piece. Be sure to maintain a steady rhythm and avoid letting the tempo slow down. The music undergoes various mood changes, so try to bring out different expressions to achieve a broader range of expression.

Percussion Section:
Any number of players can perform the percussion. Some parts can be played by a single performer, allowing for flexible use. There are up to four separate parts, but for example, with two performers, one could play the Drum Set part while the other covers Timpani, Suspended Cymbal, and other auxiliary instruments. Please adapt the instrumentation creatively according to the number of available players.
