Originally selected as a test piece for the 2001 All Japan Band Competition, Procession to Peace had long been a work I hoped to arrange for euphonium - tuba ensemble. In February 2026, it was premiered by the members of the Sagamihara Euphonium & Tuba Ensemble.Still today, instability and conflict continue around the world. While it is impossible for this small work alone to resolve such issues, I feel if performing and listening to the music inspires even a moment of reflection on peace, the message has succeeded.
