I received a commission from Mariko Yamamoto of the Japan Ladies Brass to arrange "Merry Widow Selections" in the British brass band style. I gave special attention to feature the colorful tones of brass instruments. I purposely switched sections and scored some parts more thinly to better adapt the work to this special ensemble sound.
