Commissioned by the 1st Division of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force and premiered in 2019. Landscape here meaning scenery. When I received the commission request, I was given the title "Everlasting Landscape of Edo." The Nerima base, located along the Kawagoe Kaido where the JGSDF 1st Division resides, must have been a meadow in the Edo period, I thought, and while considering the view of the Kawagoe Kaido of those days, I imagined the scenery and landscape of a city that had become increasingly prosperous as time passed.
