"and all on the earth had gone" was composed for concert band and brass band simultaneously, inspired by outrage over successive atomic bomb tests in India and Pakistan in 1998.

The work consists of six parts: "Development," "Melancholy," "Anxiety," "Conflict,""Strife and Destruction," and "All is Lost." With the great development of mechanical civilization, the egoism of mankind comes to the fore and they fight with each other, and the earth is destroyed.

I sincerely hope that current social problems, including environmental pollution and destruction, will be resolved as soon as possible.

The concert band version was premiered in May,1999 at the 7th regular concert of the Matsumoto Winds Consort in Nagano Prefecture, conducted by the composer, and the Tokyo Brass Society, conducted by Masami Takakura, in June of the same year.
